一人で一旦アルベルゲに戻り、ビールを持って広場に戻ってくると、アウグスティンやダヴィに誘われて講習のメンバーたちも楽しげに踊っていた。メンバー同士で踊っているところもあれば、アウグスティンあるいはダヴィと踊っているメンバーもおり、さらには見ず知らずの人と踊っているメンバーもいた。

最終的には前の人の肩に両手でつかまって長い列を作り、広場の半分くらいの人間を巻き込んで大きな渦を作り、バンドの演奏する音楽に合わせて踊っていた。

結局、日付が変わるくらいまで踊り、飲んだ。

アルベルゲに戻り眠りにつく時には、非常に楽しい、陽気な夜に感謝しつつも、朝起きられるだろうかという不安が頭をよぎった。

Before joining Augustin and David, I went back to the albergue and brought some beer I bought. Members of the course of Camino and Augustin and David were dancing together. Antes de bailar con amigos, volví al albergue y traía las cerbezas a la plaza. Los miembros del curso El Camino estaban bailando juntos con David y Augustin. 　講義後は、講義担当の先生に連れられて、サン・フアン教会前の広場を一回りした。まだ祭りは始まっていないようだったが、既にたくさんの人々が集まっていた。ポルトマリーンのまちはそれほど大きくない気がする、と思ったが、どうやら巡礼者も多数混じっているらしい。

　講義担当の先生と別れて広場近くのバルに入り、相変わらずボリュームたっぷりのメヌーを食べ終えたのが10時頃だっただろうか。

　バルの外に出てみると、ステージでは既にバンドによる演奏が始まっていた。まちの人々や巡礼者がステージ前に集まって演奏を聴いている。中には、手を取り合って踊っている人たちもいた。その中に、見覚えのある顔があった。アウグスティンとダヴィである。

After the lecture, the lecturer woman took us around the central square and the church of San Juan. Though the festival seemed not to have started, many people were there. We had dinner in a bar near the square, and came back there at around 10 p.m., when the band had already started to play. Among the people listening to and dancing to the music, we found our friends, Augustin and David. Después de la clase, la profesora llevaba a la plaza mayor y la iglesia de San Juan. Aunque la fiesta no se parecía haber comenzar, había muchas gentes allí. Entonces comíamos en un bar y volvíamos a la plaza a las diez de la tarde, cuando el grupo musica estaba tocando musica. Entre gentes escuchandola y bailando, nos encontrabamos a nos amigos, Augustin y David.
