(2) / Sparkling Red Wine (2) / Tinto de verano (2)

The other day, I had a chance to have a glass of tinto de verano, sparkling red wine. Next time I would buy a bottle of red wine and mix it with soda water at my house.

In the end / Al final

The End.

===(resume)==================
The long story of my pilgrimage has ended and this entry would come to the end of this blog. This time I would like to write about the things that I felt and that happened in Japan after the journey.
At first, when I came back to Tokyo, I felt there were too many people. Of course Santiago was a large city but not as crowded as Tokyo. I prefer that quiet street of Santiago.
In Tokyo, the sun sets around seven in the evening, even in summer. I prefer the late sunset of Rabanal del Camino, that of Cacabelos, that of Portomarín, that of Palas do Rei, that of Arzua, that of Monte do Gozo, that of Santiago, that of Finisterra.
During these two years, I had some chance to drink Heineken and Mahou in Japan. But they didn't taste as in Spain, as I drank them after walking long miles.
In the last entry, I wrote about the drinking with the members in a bar of Shibuya. At the same place, we had some other party and had a chance to meet Ms. Nakajima again.
Now all of the members are walking their own "camino", so am I.

The End.

===(resumen)=================

Party / Fiesta

I didn't have a bad jet-lag this time. I was so tired that I couldn't unpack the luggage yesterday. In the afternoon, after unpacking my backpack, I translated compostelana into Japanese (cf. Compostelana (2)). In the evening, I met my friends in Shibuya. They looked a little different in their ordinary clothes. In a Spanish bar, we had delicious foods and drinks, but I felt the octopus was far more delicious in Spain. When we had enough, I took a notebook and read out the original Compostelana and the irresponsible translation that I made. I hope that my friends understand its general meaning.

===(resumen)=================

Coming home / A mi país

On the airplane, I watched a movie called "Sex And The City", eating some food. But I don't remember the story because again I fell asleep. When I woke up, I tried to solve the SUDOKU puzzle that I bought in the Charles de Gaulle but it was too difficult. Arriving at Narita on September 15th, almost all of us received our backpacks but one member couldn't. After telling it to the officer, we took some photos each other. And we said good bye, making a promise to meet at a Spanish bar in Shibuya the next day. (No photo because being tired I forgot to take a photo ....)

Departure / Salida

On August 31, I went to Narita Airport. There I met 14 students of the course of Camino. First we flew to Paris, and then to Madrid. It took so many hours and reminded me of the trip to Spain in March 2008. (Photo: Charles de Gaulle International Airport, 1 Sep 2008.)

Background Info / Información sobre el Camino

===(resume)==================
Other than trainings, I have to do a lot during the vacation, such as a preparation for presentation in a seminar class or a part time job. So I didn't do much to know about Camino. For example, I didn't know the movie "Saint Jacque ... La Mecque" till I met the members of the course, who are my best friends now.

(2) / Training (2) / Entrenamiento (2)

===(resume)==================
This time about the training of strength. The director said that we had to walk more than 20km each day. Though I had sometimes climbed mountains when I was a child, never walked such a long distance. So I walked around the town I live in, with my new shoes on. Of course I listened to the podcasts of SpanishPod when I walked. (Photo: My shoes after I walked the first day on the Camino de Santiago, 2 Sep 2008)

===(resumen)=================

(1) / Training (1) / Entrenamiento (1)

===(resume)========================
After a few weeks, I've got an e-mail from the director of the course, which told that I passed the examination. So I had to start training during the first half of vacation. Speaking of spanish, I started studying it 4 years ago but I'm not accustomed to talking or listening, because I just read books and never used it to talk without exception of only one-week journey to Spain in March 2008. So I trained my spanish by podcasts of SpanishPod.com.

===(resumen)=======================

E-mail

===(resume)========================
On 13 June 2008, I've got an e-mail from my senior in the department of occidental history. That was the one which noticed me the scholorship of Camino de Santiago. I was so glad that I could go to Spain for almost free. I sent an e-mail to apply for it. Then I became uneasy because of my spanish and strength.
