昼食会 / Lunch with officers / Almuerzo con oficiales

ここでも、ガリシア政府の方々との昼食会が設けられた。海沿いの町ということで、海産物のコースが振舞われた。

おなじみのタコも美味しかったのだが、マテ貝という細長い形の貝が美味しかった。

食後に、店の外で政府の方々と一緒に写真を取って、挨拶をして、彼らとはそこで別れた。

フィニステッラから最後の講義があるムシーアMuxíaへと移動するために、バスに乗り込んだところで、ひどい眠気に襲われて、次に目を覚ました時には既にムシーアの手前まで来ていた。

Here again we had lunch with the officers of Galician government. The octopus and the pen shell were especially very nice. After that, out of the restaurant, we took some pictures with them and said good bye. From Finisterra, we took bus to Muxía, where we were to be given the last class. Una vez más hemos tenido un almuerzo con los oficiales de la Xunta de Galicia. El pulpo y el muergo fueron especialmente muy deliciosos. Después de eso, fuera del restaurante, nos tomamos unas fotos con ellos y les dijo adiós. Desde Finisterra, tomamos autobús a Muxía, donde íbamos a tener la última clase. 大西洋 / Atlantic Ocean / Océano Atlántico

フィニステッラの町で、初めて見る大西洋はどこか懐かしい海の香りがした。

崖の方に歩いていくと、巡礼の終着点だからか、いくつかのオブジェが立っていた。

昔からあるであろう、十字架の塔。
最近置かれたであろう、芸術作品。

日本だったら後者はないだろうな、などと考えながら、大西洋を眺めていた。

At Finisterra, the wind from the Atlantic Ocean smelled like something nostalgic. Walking to the cliff, I saw some objects, like a tower with cross or artistic pieces. 地の果てへ / To the end of land / Al fin de tierra

サンティアゴに到着した翌日の朝は、なんとも言い表しがたい感情に包まれていた。

昨夜遅くまで飲んでいたため、若干の二日酔いと睡眠不足で思考が回っていないせいもあったが、もうサンティアゴを目指して歩く必要はないという安心と、この刺激的な旅ももうすぐ終わってしまうのだという焦燥が入り混じっていた。

この日はサンティアゴからさらに西、フィニステッラFinisterraとムシーアMuxíaを訪れた。フィニステッラはスペイン本土の最西端の町であり、「大地の終わり」を意味するこの町は巡礼者がサンティアゴを訪れた後にやってくる場所となっていた。

サンティアゴからフィニステッラまで100kmの道のりを歩いていく時間がないため、フィニステッラへはバスで向かった。徒歩のみで全て移動してきたこの10日間を思い出すと、車中で寂寞とした思いに駆られたと同時に、サンティアゴ大聖堂を目の当たりにした瞬間に襲ってきた感情の一部が理解できたような気がした。

When I woke up, I had a strange kind of feeling, which partly came from a hangover, partly from the fact that now we're in Santiago and from a fret in my heart feeling the end of this journey. This day we went to Finisterra and Muxía. Finisterra is a westernmost town of Spain, thus the pilgrims who finished their way to Santiago come to this place. As we had no time to walk 100km from Santiago to Finisterra, we took a bus. On the bus, I was remembering the days I walked el Camino and came to understood that lonely feeling a little. Cuando me levanté, tuve un sentimiento extraño, que en parte provenía de resaca, en parte por el hecho de que estabamos en Santiago y en parte de desazón en mi corazón, sintiendo el final de este viaje. Este día nos fuimos a Finisterra y Muxía. Finisterra es una villa más occidental de España, por lo que los peregrinos que han terminado su camino a Santiago, llegan a este lugar. Porque no teníamos tiempo para andar 100 km desde Santiago hasta Finisterrea, tomamos un autobús. En el autobús, me recordaba los días en que andabamos el Camino de Santiago y llegó a entender aquel sentimiento solitario un poco. (Foto: En Finisterra, 13 sep 2008.)

パラス・ド・レイでの講義 (3) / Lecture in Palas do Rei (3) / Clase en Palas do Rei (3)

　今回の講義を行ってくれた先生は男性だった。男性の方が女性よりゆっくり話してくれる、という印象をもった。（サモス、ポルトマリーンと今回のたった3回の講義だから、データとしては少なすぎるが）いずれにせよ、ゆっくり話してくれたおかげで、地理学の特殊な用語以外は7，8割聞き取ることが出来たと思う。

　また、講義の内容そのものとは関係ないのだけれど、講義の後日譚を簡単に書いておこう。

　この講義の何日かあとにフィニステッラに実際に行き、しかも夕日が大西洋へ沈むところを目の前で見ることができた。カミーノ講習は、講義プラス実習と、素晴らしい構成の講習だと思った。

The lecture at Palas do Rei was delivered by a male professor, which gave me the impression that a Spanish man talks a little slowlier than a Spanish woman. Whether it's true or not, I suppose I could understand most of the lecture except for the technical words of geography. El profesor nos daba esta clase en Palas do Rei, que a mí causaba una impresión de que un español habla un poco más despacio que una española. De todos modos, pude entender la clase casi totalmente excepto las palabras técnicas de geografía. Y al final de este curso, pudimos ir a Finisterra y ver el sol "muriendo".
