さて、修道院に到着したが、中島先生によれば、どうやら修道院のアルベルゲに泊まるのではなく、修道院の内部の客室に宿泊する予定らしい。ところが、世話をしてくれるはずの修道院の係りの人が午後1時まで用事があるらしく、30分ほど修道院前で時間をつぶした。

すぐに部屋に行くものと思っていたが、修道院の客用の宿泊部屋にはシャワーがないため、修道院付属のアルベルゲでシャワーを浴びた。ここのシャワーは今回の旅の中ではかなり悪い部類で、水が細々と出るだけであったので、汗を流す程度しかできなかった。

シャワーから出た後に洗濯をしようとしたが、ここのアルベルゲには洗濯機がないため、手洗いをせざるをえなかった。昨日のトリアカステラへの到着が遅かったために洗濯・乾燥を行う時間がなかったため、洗濯物がたまっている。徒歩での移動ゆえに、荷物は最低限しか持ってきていないので、このままでは着る服がなくなる可能性があった。幸い、空は雲ひとつないくらいに快晴だったので、下着類のみ洗濯した。手洗いというのは人生で初めてだったが、なかなかいい経験になったと思う。

洗濯物を干したあとは、修道院の前のレストランで昼食をとった。その後、修道院の周りを散歩したり、カフェでコーヒーを飲んだりして過ごし、修道院の正面（ファサード）から入ったところにあるグッズ売り場を見て回った。

ただ、残念なことにファサードが工事中であり、鉄の足場が邪魔できちんと見られなかった。

Ms. Nakajima told us that we're going to stay in a guest room of the monastery of Samos, not in the albergue. Before entering the monastery, we took shower in the albergue, because there aren't any showers in the guest room. After taking a cold shower, we washed our clothes by our own hands. It was, perhaps, the first time for me to do that, which seemed to be a good experience for me. After having lunch together in a restaurant in front of the monastery, I took a walk around the monastery and had a coffee in a cafe. And also I visited a shop inside the facade, which was still under reconstruction and couldn't be seen well. Nos dijo Sra. Nakajima que no nos ibamos a quedar en el albergue sino en una habitación de huéspedes del monasterio de Samos. Antes de entrar en la habitación, duchamos en el albergue y debimos lavar las ropas con nuestros manos porque no había lavadora y secadora. Después de haber comido en un restaurante en frente del monasterio, yo solo andaba alrededor del monasterio y tomaba un café en un bar. サモス到着 / Arrived at Samos / Llegado a Samos

この日、トリアカステラからは男三人でのスタートということもあり、結構速いペースで歩いた。途中で先に出発したグループにも追い付くことができた。

セブレイロ峠ほどではないものの、適度なアップダウンのある道を歩く途中、中島先生からガリシアの高床倉庫について簡単な説明を受けた。どうも、どこの国でも似たようなことを考えるものだな、と思った。

結局のところ、10km先という表示の目的地サモスSamosまではちょうど３時間ほどかかった。どうもこの手の看板は当てにならないらしい。単に車道と山道を歩くことの差異かもしれないが。

サモスでは修道院にアルベルゲが付属しているらしく、そこに泊まるのだと思っていた。山を下る途中で見えた修道院は、静かな雰囲気を湛えていた。

We, the three boys, walked a bit faster than usual and could catch up the girls before arriving at Samos. Ms. Nakajima then told us that there are some raised granaries which are unique in Galicia. 今日はたったの10kmだけということで、少しだけ遅めに8時頃に起きて、昨夜晩御飯を食べたのとは別のバルで、出発前にしっかりと朝食を食べた。

その後9時前に、中島先生を含む女子メンバーは先にトリアカステラを出発した。僕を含めて3人いた男子メンバーは、トリアカステラの教会を見学してから出発することにした。
教会の方へ歩いているとアルト・ド・ポヨに泊まったグループが追い付いてきた。

話を聞くと、最後尾の集団は早起きをして午前6時ごろにアルト・ド・ポヨを出発し、きれいな星空を見ながら下山してきたらしい。高地だから、夜は寒かったらしいが、その分いいものを見たということだろう。

Only 10 kilometers left to Samos, we got up around 8 o'clock this day and, not as usual, had breakfast at a bar before our departure. Girls and Ms. Nakajima left first and three boys (including me) decided to visit the church in Triacastela. When we're approaching to the church, the group from Alto do Poio arrived at Triacastela. They said that they left Alto do Poio around 6 o'clock and walked to Triacastela under bright beautiful stars. Porque teníamos que andar solo 10 kilometros este día, entonces nos levantabamos a las ocho, no tan temprano como siempre, y desayunabamos en un café de Triacastela. Poniendose en camino a Samos, las chicas y Sra. Nakajima salían de la villa. Y dos chicos y yo decidimos visitar a la iglesia antes de salir de la villa. Cuando eramos andando a la iglesia, nos encontrabamos al ultimo grupo de nosotros, que se habían quedado en Alto do Poio. Dijeron que podían ver las estrellas brillantes bajando desde Alto do Poio. トリアカステラで休息 / Rest in Triacastela / Descanso en Triacastela

この5日目の道のりは、今回の旅の中で初めて歩いた30kmコースであり、難所のセブレイロ峠越えを含む長い長い道のりであった。

アルベルゲを見つけて、シャワーを浴びた後に、アルベルゲの横のお店でエストレジャ・ガリシアEstrella Galiciaという地元のビールを、中島先生から奢ってもらった。いろいろ大変だったが、ビールを飲んでいるとすべてどうでもいいような気がしてきた。

この日は、到着が遅かったため、洗濯をしても乾かす時間がないだろうということで、洗濯を見送ることにした。

後続隊はしばらくして到着したが、やはり最後尾の集団はアルト・ド・ポヨに泊まることになった。最後尾には足を痛めたメンバーもいたらしい。人数が減って少し寂しく感じたが、ともあれ、いつもどおり村のバルで夕食を済ませた。

アルベルゲに戻る途中、今日多めに歩いたおかげで明日の目的地のサモスSamosまでは10km程と聞いて、安心したのだが、いよいよ明日はカミーノ講習の講義始まると聞いて、自分のスペイン語に若干の不安を覚えつつ眠りに着いた。

This fifth day on el Camino de Santiago we had to walk over 30 kilometers, including O Cebreiro, the hardest part of our pilgrimage. In a shop next to the albergue, Ms. Nakajima bought us Galician beer named Estrella Galicia, which made us happy and also made us forget about the hard walk of this day. We arrived late this day, so we put off washing clothes. When we were walking back to the albergue after dinner at a bar, we came to know that we would have to walk only 10 kilometers tomorrow and that we would have a class on el Camino in Samos. Este día andabamos más que 30 kilometros en O Cebreiro, que era la durissima parte de nosotros peregrinación. En una tienda al lado del albergue, nos compraba Sra. Nakajima cerveza gallega, Estrella Galicia, que me hacía olvidarme del durissimo camino. Porque habíamos llegado a Triacastela tarde, no lavamos este día. Después de comer en un bar, andando al albergue conocíamos que mañana teneríamos que andar solo 10 kilometros y tambien habría la clase sobre el Camino. 結局、中島先生と再度相談して、登ったばかりの山を下って、アルト・ド・ポヨから数えて13km程進んだトリアカステラTriacastelaという町を目指すことになった。そのとき僕らは先頭集団にいたのだが、最後尾のグループの6人はとてもトリアカステラまでは進めそうにないということで、予定通りアルト・ド・ポヨに泊まることになった。

きつい登りの後だったので、下り道では常に膝が笑っていたが、ともかく進むしかなかった。この日の旅程は、山頂部でのアルベルゲの少なさからも分かるように、ガリシアとレオンの州境の山がちな土地であり、まさに寒村というべき村が点在し、中には廃村化したものも多かった。

峠を下る途中、ようやく見つけた村のバルでボカディージョを食べて、しばらくの間休憩することができた。

そこからさらに1時間くらい歩いて、途中牛の群れに囲まれたりもしながら、ようやくトリアカステラに到着したときには、午後５時を回っていた。

Again consulted with Ms. Nakajima on the phone, we decided to stay in the town of Triacastela, which is located about 13 kilometers away from Alto do Poio. The first group, including me, were able to do so but the last group seemed not. So they decided to stay in Alto do Poio. It was only after about an hour that we could eat sandwitches in a village between Alto do Poio and Triacastela. After the lunch, we walked about one more hour through villages, some of which seemed to be deserted. Anyway, through a herd of cattle, we could get to Triacastela at around 5 o'clock. Después de haber consultado a Sra. Nakajima, decidimos quedarnos en la villa de Triacastela que queda a 13 kilimetros desde Alto do Poio. Entonces parecía que el ultimo grupo del nosotros miembros no podería llegar a Triacastela, ellos decidieron quedarse en Alto do Poio. Pero nosotros, el primer grupo, pudieramos llegar a Triacastela a las cinco después de haber comido bocadillos en una villa entre Alto do Poio y Triacastela.
