メリデの郊外に出るころ、メリデに来るまでに一度挨拶をした巡礼者らと再び出会った。これも何かの縁、と思って、自己紹介程度に会話をしてみた。教科書かと疑わんばかりに典型的な流れで、名前を聞いて、そのスペルを聞いて、出身を聞いて、という具合に会話が進んでいった。

3人組の女性で、マリサMarisa、ラケルRaquel、ヨランダYolandaというらしい。相手の名前を発音したときに、「ラケル」のrの音が怪しいと言われてしまった。後からマリサのボーイフレンド・フアンJuanが追いついてきたのでこれまた挨拶をした。彼らはアンダルシアの出身らしい。

その後は何を話したか覚えていないが、しばらくの間一緒に歩いていた。
途中、さらに別の二人組（レメRemeとフアンJuan）にも出会った。

その後、彼らは途中の村に泊まるということだったのでそこで別れて、目的地のアルスアArzuaを目指すことにした。

At the suburb of Meride, I met some pilgrims that I had met before Meride. We introduced each other. They were Marisa, Raquel and Yolanda, who were from Andalusia. When I pronounced Raquel's name, I was told that I pronounced the first "R" wrongly. While we're walking together, two other pilgrims, Reme and Juan, joined us. Because they were to stay a town that wasn't my destination, I said good by to them and continued to walk heading for Arzua. En el barrio de Meride, me encontré a las peregrinas que me había encontrado delante de Meride. Ellas eran Marisa, Raquel y Yolanda, quien eran de Andalucía. Cuando pronuncía el nombre de Raquel, me decía ella que yo pronunciaba un poco diferente de lo normal. Durante nos hablabamos, otros os peregrinos, Reme y Juan, se unían a nosotros. カミーノ講習2010 / Course of El Camino de Santiago 2010 / Curso del Camino de Santiago 2010

新しいカミーノ講習の発表がありました。

詳細はサンティアゴ大学のHP（PDFファイル）で確認可能です。

2010と過去2回の講習の大きな違いは、
①参加者の年齢・国籍制限がなくなったこと（17歳以上なら誰でも可）
②参加費1500ユーロが必要になること
③英語回とスペイン語回、計2回開催されること
の3点です。

英語回は、英語でスペイン語の授業もやってくれる筈。
スペイン語回は、ある程度スペイン語ができることが前提条件。

申込締切がいつなのか書いてないけれど、
①英語回：5月31日-6月11日
②スペイン語回：10月4日―15日
だそうです。

メリデに着くと、エステバンたちからここがうまいタコ料理屋pulperíaだと言われたが、少し離れたところで講習のメンバーたちを見つけたので、いったんそこで別れた。

メンバーたちのところへ行くと、すでに先に行ってしまった集団があるらしいといいう話を聞いた。

それはそれで仕方ないので、先ほどのタコ屋へ戻りエステバンたちや他の巡礼者と一緒にタコを食べた。まだ10km以上歩くと言うのに、習慣的に昼間からビールを飲んでしまった。問題のタコは、というと、カカベロスで食べた時も美味しいと思ったが、ここの店のはそれ以上だと思った。

そうこうしている内に、中島先生たちのグループも到着したが、先に食べ終わったので、もう少しゆっくりしていくというエステバンたちも置いて、先に出発することにした。

Arriving at Meride, Esteban told me that was a good pulperia (octopus restaurant) but I found the members a little far away and I left Esteban, Jorge and Fernando at the pulperia. As I talked with the members, I got to know that some members had already left Meride. Together we went back to the pulperia and eat very delicious octopus and drank some beer. Llegando a Meride, me dijo Esteban que aquella era buena pulperia, pero separaba con ellos porque encontraba a los miembros del curso. Me dijeron ellos que dos o tres miembros habían salido de Meride. Así que volvíamos a la pulperia y comíamos pulpo y bebía cerveza con Esteban y otros peregrinos. Despues de un rato, Sra. 中島先生の提案のおかげで、前日と違ってこの日は何人もの巡礼者と話をすることが出来た。

最初に出会ったのは、初老の男性3人組だった。エステバンとホルヘとフェルナンドというらしい。
自己紹介に続いて、自分の話をした。カミーノ講習の話、大学の話、中世スペイン史の研究をしていること、卒業論文の話、修士論文の話……。
中世史の勉強をしていると、ラテン語が難しい、という話をすると、エステバンが自分は高校でラテン語の教師をしていると教えてくれた。スペインの高校ではラテン語は必修なのか、と聞くと、そうではないと答えてくれた。どうも日本の古典とは様子が異なるらしい。

林の中の道を歩きながら、今日はメリデMerideで講習のメンバーたちと一緒にタコを食べるのだと話すと、自分たちもそうする予定だと彼らは言った。

Because of the suggestion of Ms. Nakajima, I could have many chances to talk with pilgrims. At first I met three men past middle age, whose names are Esteban, Jorge and Fernando. I introduced myself to them and then told about this course of Camino, my study on medieval Spain and my graduation thesis. While I was talking about the difficulty of Latin, Esteban told me that he was a teacher of Latin in high school. 寝ている間、何か夢を見た。

ここ数日は、慣れない山歩き何かしたせいで疲れてぐっすり寝ていたというのに、昨日だって30km近く歩いたっていうのに、何だか変な夢を見た。……変だ、ということは覚えているけれど、内容を詳しくは覚えていない。ただ、そのせいで5時に目が覚めてしまった。（もしかしたら昨日飲んだアルコールの所為かも知れない。普段東京で生活している間はほとんどそんなことはない）

とにかく、こんな時間に起きても仕方ないので、出来るだけ夢の違和感について考えないようにしながら無理やり眠り、皆が起きるのに合わせて6時半頃再び起きた。

完全に夜が明ける前に、昨日の先生の指示通り、出来るだけメンバー同士固まらないようにしながら、まだ暗いパラス・ド・レイの町を後にした。

While I was sleeping, I had a strange dream. (In those days, 30 km's walk made me tired and I hardly dreamed.) And the dream awoke me at five o'clock in the morning. Though it was a little hard for me to sleep after that dream, I could somehow sleep and got up at six thirty. When everything's ready, we all started as separately as possible. 講義が終わると、皆は近くのバルへ夕食を食べに出かけて行った。

自分は、というと、何だかよく分からないのだけれど、無性に一人でいたくなったので、昼間に見つけたお店でパンと生ハムとビール（エストレリャ・ガリシア）を買って、一人でアルベルゲの部屋で夕食をとった。

どうしてか分からない。
カミーノ講習のメンバーの皆と一緒にいるのは楽しい筈なのに、何故か、言いようのない不安な気持ちが襲ってきた。

ビールを胃に流し込んで、暗くなった窓の外を眺めながら、今日はまだメールチェックをしていないことに気がついた。ふらふらと、近くのバルに行き、パソコンを使ってウェブメールにアクセスしたけれど、東京の知り合いからは誰からもメールは来ていなかった。

アルベルゲに戻ると、少し後に夕食を終えたメンバーが帰ってきた。

少しだけ会話をして、明日は日本人同士ではできるだけ歩かないように、との中島先生からのお達しがあった事を知って、その日はベッドに入った。

After the class, everyone but I went to a bar for dinner. At that time, somehow I felt like being alone, so I ate somne bread and jamon and drunk beer. I didn't know why, but something had made me uneasy. It might be because I was in Spain which is far away from Japan. After I came back from a bar where I checked e-mail, everyone came back and told me that Ms. Nakajima told us to walk separately the next day, that is, to walk with other pilgrims than our members. Después de la clase, todos miembros del curso iban a bar para cenar, pero me quedaba en el albergue y comía pan y jámon y entonces bebía Estrella Galicia. Tenía ganas de estar solo y estaba preocupado por algo, lo que no sabía ... tal vez porque estaba en España que está muy lejos de Japón. Después de que había comprobado e-mail, todos miembros volvieron al albergue y dijeron que nos había dicho Sra. Nakajima que no anduvieran juntos, anduvieran con los peregrinos de los otros países.
